Fleas is semi-improvised piece for solo vibraphone with an ensemble of bell ringers. The bells are sourced from thrift stores and antique malls and are generally cheap (never more than $5) and considered to be of very low quality and monetary value – not exactly made from trash, but music made with instruments or toys or souvenirs that someone didn’t want any more. Objects usually tell you how to play them if you’ll allow it.
