How our data is processed and stored?
Depending on the relationship, we store customer data in Mailchimp and our box office system SRO, which is securely hosted by the provider SeatGeek. Data will always be processed securely and only for the use of contacting you about our news, upcoming shows or other notification about your account.
We are part of a ticketing consortium with Kirklees Town Halls and The Lawrence Batley Theatre and all three organisations share the same box office system. You are able to indicate which organisation(s) you would like your information to be shared with in your preferences.
If you sign up to our mailing list your data will only be stored in Mailchimp and will not be shared with any third parties or external organisations.
If you make a purchase through the box office your data will be shared through our box office system and you may receive communications from Kirklees Town Halls and The Lawrence Batley Theatre. You will always have the option to opt out of these communications.
What information do we collect about you?
hcmf// stores information on individuals relating to your relationship with us. This may include:

How do we collect data?
The personal data that we collect about you is information that you may volunteer through ticketing bookings, online purchases, merchandise purchases, membership or donation forms, email communication sign-ups, enquiry forms, surveys, posts on our blog or pages, emails sent to the hcmf// team, or communicating with us in any way.

How is your data processed and shared?
Apart from Kirklees Town Halls and the Lawrence Batley Theatre, we will not disclose personal data to any other third parties or external organisations, other than data processors carrying out work on our behalf.
Examples of such data processors would be a bulk email distributor such as MailChimp, for the collection (eg. via sign-up forms) and storage of personal data (eg. within the hcmf// MailChimp account in order to allow the creation and use of distribution lists, to send marketing email campaigns, and place online advertisements), and the transfer of personal data to certain of MailChimp’s sub-processors (who perform critical services, such as helping MailChimp prevent abuse and providing support to customers). We may occasionally need to transfer your personal information overseas, for instance, to MailChimp. Where this is necessary, this may be to countries or territories around the world. We are required to ensure any transfers of data are done securely, in accordance with best practice, and in compliance with the GDPR Act 2018. MailChimp has certified to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.
Any such companies are acting as approved data processors for hcmf// and we retain full responsibility for your personal data. Data processors will act only on our instructions.
Apart from Kirklees Town Halls and the Lawrence Batley Theatre, your data will never be sold or passed to any third party for any other purpose.
