Our Artist to Artist talks invite musicians to participate in free, unmoderated discussions, discovering the things that draw them together along the way. The latest entry in the series features a conversation between Zubin Kanga and Atau Tanaka.
Zubin Kanga is a pianist, composer and technologist, internationally recognised for his innovations in piano and live performance. For over a decade, he has been at the forefront of curating and creating interdisciplinary musical programmes that seek to explore and redefine what it means to be a performer through interactions with new technologies, such as AI and machine learning; interactive visuals and VR; motion and biosensors, and new, hybrid instruments. A composer, performer, researcher and artist-developer in the field of technology and music for over three decades, Atau Tanaka continues to investigate areas of music-computer interaction, network performance and human-centered machine learning.

The 47th edition of Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, hcmf// 2024, takes place Friday 15 – Sunday 24 November 2024. Zubin Kanga will perform on 18 November and 19 November.
