Composer in Residence Chaya Czernowin’s work is often compared to archaeology. Rather than writing linear pieces, her music digs downwards, into the earth, in search of sounds and sensations. At hcmf// 2021, she’s joined by BBC Radio 3’s Robert Worby in a discussion that examines her three major pieces being performed at the festival, and the ways in which time and direction are distorted in her work.
