Huddersfield-born pianist Richard Uttley has established himself as one of the most in-demand interpreters working today, playing contemporary and classical music with equal authority. Given his history of revelatory solo appearances at the festival, his return this year is welcome indeed. He is joined by one of his regular duo partners, intrepid horn player Ben Goldscheider, who makes his hcmf// debut.

The pair have given recitals together throughout the world, and in this concert they present a carefully curated and balanced programme of works for horn, piano and electronics in various combinations. Featured repertoire includes a number of works written for them including the highly anticipated World Premiere of Oliver Leith’s Eeyore.
