(untitled collaborative work) (2023) 20’ World Premiere
The University of Huddersfield’s edges ensemble is a student-led group of composers and musicians who have been exploring experimental music under this umbrella since 2007. This year, the ensemble debuts a collective work in the atrium of the Richard Steinitz Building, using the whole space as a ‘gallery’ for small-scale simultaneous performances.
Audiences will be free to move around the space, listening to individual clusters of artists or hearing the composite sound on the main floor of the atrium. This is a collaborative work from the edges musicians, and it will include recordings made during some of the first days of hcmf// 2023 – audiences members may even hear themselves!
