Claudia Molitor’s audiovisual installation Listen To My World received its UK Premiere at hcmf// 2022. Claudia collected unique stories picked up from various encounters, communicating with six people living in different European towns and enabling them to tell their own tales, before weaving them together into a tapestry of experiences. Reflecting on the feeling of being acknowledged or cast away, expressed through visual and sonic material, Claudia tells a myriad of environmental and social stories at once to share the connections, and divergences, in the lives of the participants involved.
“Listen To My World is born out of an interest in listening to stories less often told,” according to the artist, “and the belief that these stories matter. The project shows us different ways of thinking about ourselves and the world, and how we might change the structures that permeate society and privilege only the very few.”
Alongside the installation, Listen To My World includes a dedicated website as well as the gorgeous accompanying publication on sale here.
