hcmf// is pleased to present Listen//Write, an experimental writing workshop as part of this year’s Huddersfield Literature Festival. Join Marsden-based artist and musician Chris Ruffoni for a writing workshop that invites participants of all skill and experience levels to interpret environmental sound into text.
In Chris’ words: “Listening to our sonic surroundings is a powerful way to find moments of connection and calm. This workshop incorporates mindfulness and sound-making to reveal our capacity to listen. We will experiment with creative activities to inspire words drawn from sound.”
To book a place, please contact hcmf//‘s Learning and Participation Officer, Sophie Cooper, at s.cooper@hud.ac.uk.
Huddersfield Literature Festival takes places across various Huddersfield-based venues from Thursday 23 March – Sunday 2 April.
