Temporary Contemporary has organised a day of creativity on
Saturday 14 August at the Huddersfield Piazza, bringing a range of demonstrations, exhibitions, workshops, and opportunities right to your doorstep. As part of the day, we’re inviting you to join us for an audio exhibition, showcasing new music made by students and young people at recent hcmf// projects!
Since the start of the year, we’ve been working with Our Biennale, the Kirklees-wide arts festival, to deliver two fantastic composition projects with students at Greenhead College and members of the Brunswick Centre’s LGBT youth group.
We were blown away by the young artists working on these projects, who explored making music – and the unknown, experimental reaches of sound – with incredible confidence. You can hear samples of music from both projects here, and read more about our work with Greenhead College here.
We’ll be presenting music by both groups in a live audio exhibition at DAI Hall, a gallery located in Huddersfield’s Queensgate Market. Pop in throughout the day, at any time between
10am-4pm, to hear striking collaborative work from these new composers.
