One of the world’s most renowned clarinettists, Gareth Davis has performed as a soloist, in experimental collaborations and as part of operas. He is constantly expanding his horizons; through projects such as Jazz Redesigned and collaborations with underground bands, he has wilfully abandoned the expectations placed on recitalists.

Davis pops up in the most unexpected of places: while he can be found lending his services to JACK Quartet and the Riot Ensemble, he has also worked with metal duo Nadja and in collaboration with harsh noise legend Merzbow. He appeared at hcmf// 2016 alongside Elliot Sharp, joining the American composer in realising his work Oceanus Procellarum with Ensemble Resonanz. In his solo material, he is currently exploring ways of combining his repertoire with visual media.
