The Royal Philharmonic Society (RPS) has today announced the shortlists for its 2026 Awards, celebrating the musicians, ensembles, organisations and initiatives that continue to inspire and enrich lives across the UK. We’re thrilled that Fever by Claudia Molitor — commissioned for hcmf// 2024 — has been shortlisted in the Chamber-Scale Composition category.
Fever received its world premiere on Saturday 16 November 2024 at St Paul’s Hall performed by The Monochrome Project. Marco Blaauw’s remarkable trumpet ensemble captivated audiences with Fever’s striking blend of intensity, subtlety, and inventive sonic textures, demonstrating how a single timbre can become both the foundation and the highlight of a piece.
