Composer Claudia Molitor has won the Best Chamber Composition Award at the 2026 Royal Philharmonic Society Awards for her work Fever (for 8 trumpets), commissioned and premiered by hcmf// in 2024.
The piece received its world premiere at hcmf// 2024, performed by the acclaimed trumpet ensemble The Monochrome Project. Scored for eight trumpets, Fever explores the distinctive sonorities, spatial possibilities and expressive power of the instrument, creating an immersive chamber work that highlights both the virtuosity of the performers and Molitor’s distinctive compositional voice.
