What happens when one of the most emphatic solo instruments is multiplied tenfold by one of contemporary music’s most expressive conductor-composers? Legendary German composer Enno Poppe’s latest piece to come to Huddersfield explores the patterns and potentials of this premise to the full extent, setting ten drumkits to work over an hour of immense immersion.
