The Swiss orchestra basel sinfonietta pays tribute to the legendary and radical Scratch Orchestra formed in London in 1969 by commissioning five new compositions, including one from the Orchestra's co-founder Michael Parsons and one from its collaborator Christian Wolff. Three younger composers add their interpretations of the Scratch Orchestra's meaning and legacy to the mix.
